Our mission

No one should have to face harm without a plan.

NovamLegal exists to make preparing to defend or pursue a case as accessible as possible — whether you can afford a lawyer yet or not.

Why we exist

NovamLegal was born out of one of the worst days of someone’s life. A private moment — something that was never meant to be seen by anyone else — was taken and weaponized against them. In the hours that followed, one question mattered more than any other: what do I do right now?

The answers were harder to find than they should have been. Legal help was slow to reach, expensive before it even began, and intimidating to approach. Consultations were booked days out. Evidence was slipping away by the hour while nobody could say which screenshots mattered, what to preserve, or where to send it. The system that’s supposed to protect people felt like it was built for everyone except the person who was actually hurting.

So they built the tool they wished they’d had that night — something that could turn a chaotic, frightening situation into a clear, structured plan in minutes, not weeks. That tool became NovamLegal.

The problem

When someone wrongs you — or when you’re accused of something you didn’t do — the clock starts immediately. But real legal help often doesn’t.

  • It's slow. Getting in front of an attorney can take days or weeks — time in which evidence disappears and deadlines quietly pass.
  • It's expensive. Many people never even make the first call because they assume they can't afford one — so they do nothing.
  • It's intimidating. Legal language, procedures, and forms are built for insiders, and the fear of getting it wrong keeps people frozen.
  • Evidence gets lost. Screenshots go unsaved, originals get deleted, and the proof that mattered most is gone before anyone knew to keep it.
  • The first move is unclear. Most people simply don't know whether their situation is civil or criminal, offense or defense, or who to even talk to first.

Our approach

We combine three things so that no one has to start from zero.

AI-structured case prep

Explain what happened in plain words. We organize the facts into a timeline, separate what's provable from what's alleged, surface the frameworks that may apply, and draft the documents that fit your situation.

Human help when it counts

When a matter needs a person — refined drafts, a strategy call, an investigation, or a referral to a licensed attorney — we're there to step in.

Secure evidence storage

A safe place to preserve and organize the proof your case depends on, so nothing critical is lost while you decide your next move.

Where the line is

We want to be very clear about what we are and what we’re not. NovamLegal is not a law firm, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship. We help you prepare — we structure facts, draft documents, and point you in a direction. Attorneys advise. When it’s time for legal advice about your specific situation, that comes from a licensed attorney, and we’ll always tell you when you’re at that point.

Being honest about that boundary isn’t a limitation — it’s the whole point. The goal is to get you ready, informed, and organized so that when you do reach a professional, you’re not starting from scratch and paying to explain the basics.

What we value

Dignity

People come to us on hard days. We treat every story with respect and never make anyone feel small for what happened to them.

Privacy

Your situation is yours. We protect what you share and give you a secure place to keep the evidence that matters.

Clarity

No jargon for its own sake. We translate a confusing system into plain language and concrete next steps.

Moving fast when it counts

When someone's hurting, hours matter. We're built to give you a real plan in minutes, not weeks.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Start free, see your situation structured into a real plan, and decide your next move with clear eyes.

Important: NovamLegal provides self-help information and document drafts. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Have an attorney review before filing.
