How does Novam Legal remove my information from data broker and people-search sites?
You send us the listings exposing your information (a link or a short description), and we send a professionally worded removal request to each site on your instruction. We track every request and send up to two automatic follow-ups 48 hours apart. Guardian plans include unlimited requests, so when a listing reappears you just submit it again. Timing is set by each site, and we can't predict it. Some respond within days, some take weeks, and some never act.
What's the difference between Guardian and Guardian Pro?
Guardian includes unlimited removal requests for the broker and people-search listings you submit from your dashboard, each with automatic follow-ups, plus an onboarding report. Guardian Pro adds priority handling by our team for doxxing posts and WHOIS/domain listings you submit. Neither plan scans sites automatically today; you tell us what to remove.
Do I need a subscription, or can I pay per removal?
Either. If you only need one thing gone, our per-notice pricing ($29 for an information removal request, $49 for a DMCA takedown, $149 for an urgent multi-site doxxing removal) includes two automatic follow-ups. If your exposure spans many sites or you want ongoing protection against re-listings, a Guardian plan is more cost-effective and keeps working after the first removal.
How will I know when something is removed or when new exposure shows up?
Every account gets a live dashboard showing the real-time status of each request — received, notice sent, follow-up sent, resolved, or escalated — along with the exact timestamp and recipient of every notice we've sent on your behalf. Guardian plans also get a monthly exposure report by email.
Do I need to create an account before I pay?
No. Enter your email at checkout and pay. We create your account with that email and send you a link to set a password, so you can follow every request in your dashboard.
Can I cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard's billing portal — no phone call, no retention flow.
Is Novam Legal a law firm?
No. Novam is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Novam Legal is a privacy removal service: with your written authorization, our privacy team sends takedown and removal requests on your behalf and follows up. It is never attorney representation. For legal questions, such as suing someone or getting a court order, talk to a licensed attorney.
What is a DMCA takedown notice and when do I need one?
A DMCA takedown notice is a request under 17 U.S.C. §512 asking a host, registrar, or platform to remove content that infringes your copyright — for example, stolen photos, videos, or written work republished without permission. We prepare a notice with the elements 17 U.S.C. §512 lists, show you the sworn statement before you pay, and send it to the recipient on your behalf. Hosts decide whether to remove content.
What happens if a site ignores my removal request?
A second follow-up request goes out 48 hours after the first. If a site still doesn't respond, our team reviews it and may try another channel, such as the site's own removal form, and you'll see the status in your dashboard. We can't guarantee a site will act, and timing is set by each site.
Do you sell or share my personal information?
No. We only use your information to identify and remove your exposure — never to sell, share, or add you to any marketing list.
Can someone else fill out the removal forms for me on sites that require it?
Yes. Some sites only accept removals through their own web form and reject emailed requests entirely. Our Concierge Takedown ($79) assigns a real member of our team to personally locate and submit that site's own form on your behalf, then confirm once it's submitted — available standalone or as an add-on to any plan.
Novam is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Novam Legal sends privacy removal and takedown requests on your behalf and provides self-help information and document drafts. It is not a substitute for a licensed attorney; have an attorney review anything before you file it.
